When the sweet people at Munchkin got wind that I was expecting, they sent over the most amazing gift basket full of goodies. Not only did it have the obvious baby swag for Hudson, but they also made a point to include big brother, Aden which was so incredibly thoughtful.
We've been big fans of Munchkin since the "baby Aden" days so I was thrilled to get to try some of their latest items to hit the market. The first product that I couldn't wait to break open was their new LATCH line of bottles and accessories. The LATCH line is exactly what you would expect from the name - a bottle nipple that mimics the natural feel of breastfeeding for baby. The nipple is soft, flexible and even moves with the pressure of the infant's mouth controlling the flow of the milk, so the baby has an easier and almost seamless transition between breast and bottle.
To say we love them would be an understatement. I was a big fan of the Tommee Tippee's with Aden and the Munchkin LATCH is comparable, if not better. Hudson took to them immediately and I was one happy mama. (with the ability to have two free arms on occasion!) In addition to the bottles, Munchkin also has a LATCH pacifier. Unfortunately, Hudson didn't follow suit as his brother and completely rejects any sort of dummy, so we're unable to speak to those, although I'm sure they're just as great as the bottles.
While we're on the topic of eating, my toddler can't exist without his line of Munchkin cups and snack catchers. Believe me when I say, they - are - everything. In our daily life, Aden uses them throughout his entire day; from the time he wakes up in the morning to when he unwinds at bedtime. The snack-catchers have been great for cheerios, goldfish, raisins, and crackers. They hold it all in for a boy on the run and the soft silicone top makes it super easy for those tiny fingers to get in and out with ease.
As far as cups go, we use pretty much everything Munchkin has to offer a one year old. Aden is partial to their new 360 training cups that are literally the absolute best on the market. They don't leak or drip when he decides to chuck it across the room and that alone gets an A++ in my book. We also use the straw and sippy cups for on the go. Embarrassingly enough, you'll find at least one floating around in the back seat of my car. They're literally everywhere.
I could go on and on about all of the Munchkin products that we own - from changing pad liners to bath toys, but it would probably take all day and I certainly don't want to bore you. I'd rather you see for yourself! They make our life with two kids so much more manageable. Everywhere you turn in our home you are bound to see a Munchkin product or their sister brand, Brica. My living room contains a Munchkin baby gate at the bottom of the stairs, my car displays a Brica sunshade in the windows, our play bins have plenty of Munchkin teething toys, a Brica case safely houses the kids iPad, and my kitchen sink has a lovely Munchkin bottle brush resting beside it. A quick glimpse and you would never know that we are apparently closet hoarders of all things Munchkin. It's a good problem to have, I'd say.
