BEACH ESSENTIALS

Marysia Swimwear // Not only are these suits adorable, but they’re a match made in coordinating heaven. Helloooo, mom + daughter beach day! The scalloping details are simple and fun, while offering a sufficient amount of coverage in all the right areas. And if that’s enough to convert you to a Marysia fan…the child’s swimsuit is reversible. You. Are. Welcome.

Little Adi + Co SWIM Bummies™ // It just doesn’t get any better than our very own SWIM Bummies. These are a staple for our two little guys! Unlike regular swim shorts, the SWIM Bummies are made of just the right amount of material, as to not get in the way of swimming or other beach-related activities (a.k.a. covering me in unnecessary amounts of sand). Soft, durable, and available in a multitude of colors, our famous take on swim shorts are a summer must-have for any active little one!

#GIRLBOSS By: Sophia Amoruso  // This book…It’s a MUST read. As in drop what you’re doing and run to the nearest library to pick it up. Sophia Amoruso is the CEO and Founder of Nasty Gal, a multi-million dollar business she built herself. In six years. With no credit cards. Or debt. Whether you’re the boss of a company like myself, or not, this book is bursting with practical advice for you mind, your heart, your job, and your money. Sophia is upfront and honest, and will inspire you to take charge of your life and steer it in the direction YOU want to go.

Gurus Sandals  // Inspired by traditional Indian sandals, Gurus are a fresh take on the average beach flip-flop. A portion of every shoe is made from rubber trees on the owner’s family farm in India. AND they’re made with 100% eco-friendly materials. AND they look adorable with bathing suits. AND for every pair you buy, Gurus will plant a tree in a community within a developing country. Buy a pair of shoes and help save the world?! Yes, hi, I will have all of the sandals please.

Madre Beads Madre Canvas Tote // No beach trip would be complete without a great tote to keep track of everything, including the kitchen sink! The canvas material is great for getting sandy and wet, and you can wipe it clean with simply a washcloth and soap. And the “Madre” scrawl is an adorable reminder that we are mamas--we are tough, smart, and have the best job in the world.

Osea Ocean Lotion // What better way to embrace the beach than to lather on some ocean derived lotion?! All of Osea’s products, including this lotion, are made from natural components. And better yet—they don’t contain any parabens, sulfates, or genetically modified ingredients. This lotion is perfect for me to use daily, and helps to moisturize my whole body after a day in the sun.

The Jones Market Necklace // Now I know it’s a little unconventional to wear such a large necklace to the beach…but stay with me here. This is not your ordinary necklace. It’s adorable, that is pretty obvious. But it also isn’t afraid of a little ocean water. Now, I’m not giving you my blessing to dive in head first into the ocean, but the necklace is simply made of cotton fabric + wooden beads. So a little beach action won’t ruin your perfectly good statement piece. It’s durable and fashionable. Oh and a HUGE bonus: they are non-toxic, making them baby friendly. This necklace is the total package!

SwimZip Round Towel // If there is room for only one type of beach towel in your life, please let it be the SwimZip Round Towel. It’s great for a mama to spread out like a starfish and sunbathe, or for multiple littles to nap or play on. The five foot diameter and soft, beautiful fabric push this towel to the top of my beach day packing list. The kids love it, I love it, everyone loves it!

Caroline Randall Made 24oz. Mason jar Tumbler // Because if you don’t have a piece of cheetah print on your person at all times, are you really even doing it right? These are, by far, the cutest Mason jar tumblers I’ve seen. And living in the South, Mason jars are practically a way of life. The cozies around the Mason jar are hand sewn and come in every fabric your heart could ever desire. Did I mention cozies can be monogrammed? For FREE? It’s a no brainer! They are the perfect addition to any beach-day packing list.

Friday Faves bonus: I collected a few of my favorite refreshing drink recipes for your beach day tumbler. Enjoy!

Coconut Cooler: blend coconut water + watermelon + fresh mint + lime juice

Infused Water: Add any fruit of your choosing (I like berries + lemon) to a pitcher of water the night before your beach adventure. In the morning, pour and sip away!

Cantaloupe Agua Fresca: 10 cups cantaloupe, 3 cups water (sparkling will give it a little fancy kick!), 3T lime juice, 5T sugar, ice, mint leaves // Directions: Blend cantaloupe, pour through strainer, add strained cantaloupe juice to water and lime juice, sweeten with sugar to taste

Now are you ready for the best part? Who wants a SwimZip Roundie of your own?! We've teamed up with Betsy from SwimZip to give one lucky reader their choice of towel to flaunt at the beach this summer. Enter below for a chance to take one of these beauties!
